Boomer Sooner! Go SoRo! Innovative Competition
Follow the Sooner Rover team as they continue outreach to up and coming engineers. The team not only strives to win the competition but also wants to share just how much fun it is to build and design new innovative machines. The team is getting closer and closer to reaching its final product and the tremendous hard work they’re putting in looks to be paying off! If you would like to see the rover in person, the So Ro team will be at the Norman Public Library on April 30th 2016 starting at 2pm!
The team will be showcasing their work so far and encouraging people to get engaged and learn about what they are doing. In March, the team visited the 2016 Regional Botball competition at Norman High to show the interested future engineers a real life example of what they could be a part of in the near future. The team displayed the inner workings of the wheels and the overall design of their rover. They grabbed even more attention when the arm began to move and interact with the students. Lots of kids gathered around to have a chance to interact with the arm, catching various objects in their hands.
