Asociación de Médicos Optométricos de Oklahoma: “Familias de Oklahoma pueden recibir exámenes de la vista gratuitos”

OKLAHOMA CITY – Los médicos optométricos participantes en todo el estado de Oklahoma darán exámenes oculares gratuitos a las personas con bajos recursos como parte del cuarto Día anual de Giving Sight de la Asociación de Médicos Optométricos de Oklahoma (OAOP). La mayoría de los lugares participantes tendrán clínicas de visión gratuitas el sábado 30 de septiembre, pero algunas ubicaciones participarán en los días inmediatamente anteriores o posteriores a esa fecha.

Algunas clínicas requieren citas, mientras que otras se asignan por orden de llegada. Cada clínica tiene diferentes protocolos y requisitos y los pacientes deben consultar cuidadosamente la lista a continuación o el sitio web de OAOP.

"Sabemos que hay miles de residentes de Oklahoma con problemas de visión no diagnosticados, y esos problemas pueden afectar gravemente la calidad de vida, reducir el rendimiento en el trabajo o la escuela, e incluso ser peligrosos", dijo el Dr. Kyle Tate, presidente de OAOP y propietario de Insight Eyecare en Glenpool. Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physician’s: “Oklahomans Can Receive Complimentary Vision Exams” 

OKLAHOMA CITY – Participating optometric physicians across the state of Oklahoma will be giving complimentary eye exams to those in-need as part of the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physician’s (OAOP) fourth annual Giving Sight Day.

Most participating locations will hold complimentary vision clinics on Saturday, September 30, but some locations will participate in the days immediately preceding or following that date. Some clinics require appointments, while others are first come, first serve. Each clinic has different protocols and requirements and patients should carefully consult the list below or the OAOP website. 

“We know there are thousands of Oklahomans with undiagnosed vision problems, and those problems can severely impact quality of life, reduce performance at work or school, and even be dangerous,” said Dr. Kyle Tate, OAOP president and owner of Insight Eyecare in Glenpool. “Giving Sight Day is a chance for us to help give the gift of healthy site to our neighbors, regardless of their economic circumstances.” 

In previous years, Giving Sight Day has yielded over $50,000 in complimentary exams and complimentary frames and lenses distributed to patients. It is the OAOP’s largest charitable event.
