Banda “La Mafia” en Dia Hispano en el Oklahoma State Fair!

El Oklahoma State Fair está de vuelta, desde el 14 al 24 de septiembre. La feria trae a cientos de miles de personas del alrededor del estado para compartir con comida, música y todo lo demás.
Tickets están a la venta ahora con precios de adelantado para el pase de temporada están a $25, y pases para un dia estan a $7. Un descuento del día de apertura pondrá a los tickets a $2 para admission.
El parque de diversiones tendrán su manilla a $30 para los días de semana, y a $40 para los fines de semana empezando los viernes. La manilla le dará acceso a todos los juegos y atracciones de carnaval sin restricciones.
Representante del Oklahoma State Fair Scott Munz dijo que prepararse para la feria cada año es un reto, porque lo tienen que hacer más grande y mejor cada vez. “Es balancear una línea fina entre tradiciones y cosas nuevas. Obviamente ha habido mucha gente que ha estado atendiendo la feria por mucho tiempo, y nosotros queremos mantener muchas tradiciones porque hay muchas memorias de familia que se hacen aquí en la feria.”
Este año trae los juegos de carnaval que conoce, y también entretenimiento variado para que todos disfruten.
Nuevas adicciones para la feria incluye una exhibición de JFK, donde la gente puede revivir memorias de la presidencia pasada, con cientos de objetos y piezas relacionados o obtenido por el mismo Kennedy. Una recreación de la oficina oficial de la casa blanca será construido para que la gente vea, y muchas otras cosas de los años 60’ estaran tambien. Entrada sera $5.
Por la primera vez, la feria traerá el “Sky Eye Wheel” la cual es nombrada la rueda de la fortuna portable más grande de norteamérica. La rueda tiene 155 pies de altura, la cual da participantes una distancia de vista de millas.
Un encuentro de tiburones estará en exhibición, ofreciendo la chance de ver a tiburones en vivo. Tiburones de muchos tipos y especies estarán presentes para que la gente explore y descubra.
Disney On Ice está de vuelta a la feria con su evento “Follow Your Heart” en el Jim Norick Arena. Su popularidad año tras año fue claro a los organizadores, haciendo que el show corra desde el 14 hasta el 19.
Otro favorito es el Circo italiano, la cual vuelve este año. Los actores y entretenedores auténticos retornan con su espectáculo, creando risa, maravilla y emoción para toda la familia.
Un evento de reconocimiento este año es la inclusión de la banda “La Mafia”, la cual Munz dijo que será parte de un bloque el dia domingo de entretenimiento hispano. “Nosotros animamos a las familias hispanas que vengan después de misa, es un dia grandioso para salir de paseo. Es algo que empezamos have cinco o seis años.”
“Sentimos un vacío en nuestras ofertas musicales multiculturales, entonces decidimos que podemos designar ese primer domingo como dia hispano en la feria,” el dijo. “Quisiera invitar a todos a venir para divertise. Hay muchas maneras de disfrutar el Oklahoma State Fair.”


The Oklahoma State Fair is back, running from September 14 though the 24. The fair brings in hundreds of thousands of people from around the state to share food, music, and everything in between.
Tickets are on sale now with advance prices for the season pass being at $25, and day passes being at $7. There will be an opening day discount of $2 for gate admission.
Carnival Ride armbands are priced at $30 for the weekdays, and $40 for the weekends starting Fridays. This armband allows you to ride all the attractions with no restrictions.
Oklahoma State Fair Spokesperson Scott Munz said the challenge with preparing the fair each year is how to make it bigger and better. “It’s balancing a fine line between traditions and new stuff. Obviously there have been a lot of people that have been coming to the fair for a long time, we want to try and maintain as many of those traditions as possible because there are a lot of family memories made at the Oklahoma State Fair.”
This year brings the carnival rides and games you know and love, as well as diverse entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
This year’s new additions include a JFK exhibition, where fairgoers can experience memories of the former presidency with hundreds of items related or owned by Kennedy himself. A close to life recreation of his White House presidential office will be displayed for people to see, as well as many other pieces of memorabilia from the 1960’s. Entrance will be $5.
For the first time, the State Fair is bringing the “Sky Eye Wheel” which is named the largest portable ferris wheel in North America. The wheel stands at 155 feet fall, which will give riders a view for miles of the Oklahoma cityscape.
A Shark Encounter will be on display as well, offering the chance to see live sharks. Many types and species will be on display for people to explore and discover.
Disney On Ice is returning to the fair with its “Follow Your Heart” event at the Jim Norick Arena. It’s popularity year after year was clear to the organizers, making the show run from September 14 through the 19.
Another favorite is the Zoppe Italian Family Circus, which is making a comeback this year. The authentic Italian performers return with their spectacle, creating laughter, awe and thrills for the whole family.
A highlight this year is the inclusion of “La Mafia” band, which Munz said is part of a Sunday block of hispanic entertainment. “We encourage hispanic families to come out after church, it’s a great day to come out. It’s something we’ve started five or six years ago.”
“We felt a void in our multicultural musical offerings, so we decided that we would designate that first sunday as hispanic day at the State Fair,” he said. “I’d just like to invite everyone out. There are many ways to enjoy the Oklahoma State Fair.”
