Lorena Rivas encabeza una noche de inspiración, liderazgo y celebración en Oklahoma City
Oklahoma City, OK — Educación, capacitación, una exquisita cena, regalos y entretenimiento serán los principales ingredientes de la celebración del Día de las Madres este próximo 9 de mayo. El evento, presentado por el periódico El Latino American, se llevará a cabo en el centro de convenciones del Hotel Embassy Suites en Norman Oklahoma.
“Este es un evento enfocado en resaltar los valores familiares y la importancia de la madre en el hogar. Buscamos difundir y compartir estrategias para el éxito, fomentando el desarrollo profesional continuo y celebrando los logros que llenan de orgullo a nuestras madres”. “Creemos firmemente que la educación es la clave del éxito. Este puede alcanzarse en distintas áreas y en cualquier etapa de la vida. La educación ayuda a reducir los desafíos que enfrentan nuestras familias, mejora la productividad y abre puertas a mejores oportunidades laborales, lo que se traduce en una mejor calidad de vida”. expresó Norma Condreay, editora del periódico.
Con una larga trayectoria en la comunidad, El Latino American se ha distinguido por celebrar y elevar el valor de la mujer, especialmente como madre y como fuerza trabajadora dentro del hogar y la sociedad en Oklahoma. A lo largo de los años, el periódico ha promovido el reconocimiento y empoderamiento de la mujer latina, resaltando su papel fundamental en el desarrollo de nuestras comunidades.
Este año, el evento contará con una invitada muy especial como oradora principal (Keynote Speaker): la abogada Lorena Rivas, fundadora de Rivas & Associates, una reconocida firma de inmigración que ha servido a la comunidad latina por muchos años.
Lorena Rivas es ampliamente reconocida por su compromiso con las familias inmigrantes y su incansable labor en la defensa de los derechos de la comunidad latina. A lo largo de su carrera, ha guiado a cientos de familias en procesos legales complejos, convirtiéndose en una voz de confianza, esperanza e inspiración.
Durante su participación, compartirá su poderosa historia de vida como madre, profesional y líder comunitaria, destacando los retos que ha enfrentado y las lecciones que la han llevado al éxito. Su mensaje estará enfocado en el empoderamiento de la mujer, la importancia de la educación y la perseverancia como herramientas clave para transformar el futuro de nuestras familias.
“Es un honor formar parte del evento del Día de las Madres de El Latino American por décimo noveno año consecutivo. Hemos sido testigos del impacto positivo que tiene en las familias y en nuestra comunidad. Para nosotros es fundamental preservar los valores familiares, nuestras tradiciones y transmitir nuestra cultura a las nuevas generaciones, resaltando siempre la importancia de la madre en el hogar”, comentó la Dra. Carmen Romo.
Cientos de madres de Oklahoma serán homenajeadas en su día con la participación en talleres educativos de alto nivel, una exposición de organizaciones y negocios que ofrecen servicios en la comunidad, y una elegante cena.
El evento contará además con las hermosas melodias interpretadas por Imelda Suarez, asi como la presentación del tradicional baile Peruano seguido por los campeones de danza tradicional mexicana “Grupo Norahua”. Y como no podia faltar el gran baile amenizado por el grupo musical de Lee y su grupo.
Porque cuando una madre es fuerte, toda la comunidad florece.

Lorena Rivas to Lead a Night of Inspiration, Leadership, and Celebration in Oklahoma City
Oklahoma City, OK — Education, training, a fine dinner, gifts, and entertainment will be the main highlights of this year’s Mother’s Day celebration on May 10. The event, presented by El Latino American newspaper, will take place at the historic Skirvin Hilton Hotel in Oklahoma City.
“This is an event focused on highlighting family values and the importance of mothers in the home. We aim to share strategies for success, encourage continued professional development, and celebrate the achievements that make our mothers proud” . “We firmly believe that education is the key to success. It can be achieved in different areas and at any stage of life. Education helps reduce the challenges families face, improves productivity, and opens doors to better job opportunities, ultimately leading to a higher quality of life.” said Norma Condreay, editor of the newspaper.
With a long-standing presence in the community, El Latino American has distinguished itself by celebrating and uplifting the value of women—especially as mothers and hardworking pillars of the home and society in Oklahoma. Over the years, the newspaper has proudly promoted the recognition and empowerment of Latina women, highlighting their essential role in community development.
This year’s event will feature a very special guest as the keynote speaker: attorney Lorena Rivas, founder of Rivas & Associates, a highly respected immigration law firm that has served the Latino community for many years.
Lorena Rivas is widely recognized for her commitment to immigrant families and her tireless advocacy for the rights of the Latino community. Throughout her career, she has guided hundreds of families through complex legal processes, becoming a trusted voice of hope, strength, and inspiration.
During her presentation, she will share her powerful life story as a mother, professional, and community leader, highlighting the challenges she has overcome and the lessons that shaped her success. Her message will focus on women’s empowerment, the importance of education, and perseverance as key tools to transform the future of our families.

Hundreds of mothers from Oklahoma will be honored during this special celebration, featuring high-level educational workshops, an exposition of organizations and businesses offering community services, and an elegant dinner.
The event will also include a performance of Imelda Suarez, Mexican traditional dance champions “Grupo Norahua”, followed by a grand dance party featuring the musical group Lee Hernan.
