Green Bay Packers jugará contra Philadelphia Eagles en Brasil

La NFL anunció hoy que los Green Bay Packers jugarán contra los Philadelphia Eagles en el histórico primer partido de temporada regular en Brasil, como parte de los Juegos Internacionales de 2024.

Los Packers se enfrentarán a los Eagles, el equipo designado por São Paulo para 2024, el viernes 6 de septiembre de 2024, marcando la primera vez que la NFL juega un partido el viernes por la noche de su fin de semana inaugural en más de 50 años (Cardinals en Rams, 18 de septiembre de 1970).

El partido tendrá lugar en la ciudad de São Paulo en el Corinthians Arena, casa del equipo de fútbol brasileño SC Corinthians y será el primer partido de cada equipo en la temporada regular 2024.

Brasil es un importante mercado global para la NFL, con más de 38 millones de fanáticos del juego (8.3 millones de ellos son fanáticos "ávidos"), la segunda base de fanáticos internacionales más grande después de México.

Green Bay Packers to play Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil

The NFL today announced that the Green Bay Packers will play the Philadelphia Eagles in the historic first-ever regular season game in Brazil, as part of the 2024 International Games.

The Packers will face the Eagles — the 2024 São Paulo designated team — on Friday, Sept. 6, 2024, marking the first time the NFL has played a game on Friday night of their opening weekend in over 50 years (Cardinals at Rams, Sept. 18, 1970).

The game will take place in the city of São Paulo at the Corinthians Arena, home to Brazilian soccer team SC Corinthians and will be each team’s first game of the 2024 regular season.

Brazil is an important global market for the NFL, with more than 38 million fans of the game (8.3 million of those being ‘avid’ fans) — the second largest international fan base after Mexico.

The game in São Paulo will be one of five regular season games to be played internationally in 2024. Three games will be played in London: two at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with the third a Jacksonville Jaguars home game at Wembley Stadium as part of their partnership. The fifth game will see the NFL back in Germany for a third consecutive year, returning to Allianz Arena in Munich.
