Iluminación del Árbol de Navidad en la Ciudad de Oklahoma
Comienza la temporada de Navidad junto Alcalde Holt y Santa Claus
(OKLAHOMA CITY) – El inicio de la Navidad en Downtown OKC el mes de diciembre es presentado por Devon, y tendrá lugar la semana anterior al Día de Acción de Gracias. El festival de la iluminación de árbol de navidad en Oklahoma City será presentado por Heartland en Bricktown el jueves 16 de noviembre, de 5:30 p.m. a 7:30 p.m. Este evento es gratuito e invita al público a unirse junto al alcalde David Holt y a Santa Claus en una velada familiar de festividades navideñas, que incluye diversas actuaciones que destacan las numerosas culturas y tradiciones de la ciudad.
El festival, que ahora cumple 22 años, se llevará a cabo en Bricktown, en Mickey Mantle Plaza del Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. El evento incluye actividades para toda la familia, como fotografías con Papá Noel, caricaturas, arte con globos, un elfo mágico y más.
Se les invita a los padres y acompañantes a llevar a sus hijos a la estación de Cartas a Santa patrocinada por OG&E, donde pueden escribirle cartas a Santa y colocarlas en el buzón del Polo Norte. Además podrán decorar postales navideñas con temáticas de la ciudad de Oklahoma City para llevar a casa o enviar por correo. Los asistentes también tendrán la oportunidad de disfrutar deliciosos bocadillos de los negocios de Bricktown, incluyendo palomitas de maíz del Harkins Theatre, fondue de The Melting Pot, jamón glaseado navideño de Rodizio Grill y un crujiente dulce de manzana de Mickey Mantle's Steakhouse.
La principal atracción de la noche es la exhibición de diversas actuaciones navideñas antes y después de la cuenta regresiva del encendido del árbol de Navidad de Bricktown por parte del alcalde David Holt y Santa Blair.
El árbol de Navidad de Bricktown, presentado por Painted Door Gift Boutique, se encenderá aproximadamente a las 7 p.m. y estará en exhibición hasta el día de Navidad y y brillará más que nunca con nuevas luces LED y nuevos adornos.

Las presentaciones en vivo incluyen diversas actividades para que todos disfruten. Los asistentes verán al elenco de 'A Christmas Carol' de Lyric Theatre, estudiantes de Lyric Theatre Academy, Jabee, H?ng Vi?t Drum Show and Lion Dancers, Oklahoma City Ballet, RACE Dance Collective y Yumare Mexican Folkloric Dancers.
