Oklahoma City, Okla. —Leadership Oklahoma (LOK) is honoring Dr. Joe Alexander with the Distinguished Leadership Award during the 2018 All Class Reunion dinner and networking event at White Barn Estates in Stillwater on Thursday, September 20, 2018. The two-day event is September 20-21, 2018 highlighting the local treasures in the Stillwater area, the All Class Reunion – Step Right Up to Leadership Oklahoma’s Under the Big Top, then the forum, Democracy – The Greatest Show on Earth, where attendees will hear from candidates in five statewide races: Attorney General, Governor, Lt. Governor, State Superintendent and State Treasurer.
“Each year, Leadership Oklahoma is proud to recognize an individual whose contributions to the organization have made a significant difference,” said Marion Paden, Ed.D., President and CEO of Leadership Oklahoma. “We are privileged and grateful to honor them for their efforts to promote and support the vision of LOK, their involvement and participation with the members and finally the commitment of their unique talents and resources to strengthen the organization.”
A member of Class XII, Joe has been active with LOK even before successfully completing the program in 1998. He served on the Leadership Oklahoma Board of Directors for four years, co-chaired the Stillwater planning committee for the adult program and chaired the Stillwater recruitment committee for over twenty-two years and has been active with the adult planning committee the last few years.
