INTEGRIS Health Children's presenta la clínica de Peluches
Los pacientes de INTEGRIS Health Children's en Baptist Medical Center fueron especialmente lindos y tiernos el pasado martes, ya que el hospital tenía una clínica de osos de peluche. Se animó a los niños a traer un oso de peluche o su animal de peluche favorito de casa para participar en el evento.
Los niños pudieron darle a su oso de peluche un "chequeo" usando equipo médico real, tatuajes temporales y pegatinas. "La idea es hacer que los niños se sientan más cómodos en un entorno médico", dice Millaine Thiel, especialista certificada en vida infantil de INTEGRIS Health Children's.
"La Clínica Teddy Bear está diseñada para disminuir el miedo y la ansiedad de ir al médico o al hospital. Si su animal de peluche favorito puede hacerlo, ¡entonces ellos también pueden!"
INTEGRIS Health Children’s Holds Teddy Bear Clinic
Patients at INTEGRIS Health Children’s at Baptist Medical Center were especially cute and cuddly today, as the hospital held a Teddy Bear Clinic. Children were encouraged to bring a teddy bear or their favorite stuffed animal from home to participate in the event.
The kiddos were able to give their teddy bear a “check-up” using real medical equipment, temporary tattoos and stickers. “The idea is to make the kids feel more comfortable in a medical environment,” says Millaine Thiel, a certified child life specialist at INTEGRIS Health Children’s.
“The Teddy Bear Clinic is designed to lessen the fear and anxiety of going to the doctor or hospital. If their favorite stuffed animal can do it, then they can too!”
