Lo presionaste… y lo perdiste

Un comentario inadecuado puede poner en riesgo una relación amorosa. Así le pasó en una ocasión a una amiga cuando se peleó con un exnovio, a quien ella le sacó “los trapitos al sol” frente a sus amigos. Su ex era un hombre muy bueno y hasta llegaba con flores frecuentemente, sin embargo, mi amiga se quejaba porque después de un año de relación él nunca le había dicho “te quiero” y mucho menos “te amo”. Únicamente al final de sus textos escribía “TQM” (popular abreviación para decir “te quiero mucho”).

Un día ella fue a cenar con una pareja amiga de su novio, llamémoslos Marco y Alicia. Marco siempre tenía algo hermoso que decir de su mujer, y ese día mientras cenaban comentó: “Desde que vi a Alicia por primera vez sabía que sería la mujer de mi vida”. Después de escuchar ese comentario tan tierno, mi amiga no pudo aguantarse y dijo algo frustrada: “Marco, deberías enseñarle a mi novio a ser romántico y expresivo como tú.” A lo que Marco sorprendido respondió: “No digas eso, mi amigo te adora”

Mi amiga por poco se atraganta con la comida y con la boca casi llena dijo sarcásticamente: “Pues si me quiere tanto, ¿por qué nunca me lo ha dicho?”. Marco y Alicia se quedaron perplejos tras el comentario. No podían creer que su amigo jamás hubiera dicho una frase tan básica entre enamorados.

Luego de esta revelación en la mesa, hubo un silencio sepulcral y si las miradas mataran, al día siguiente ella hubiera aparecido en las noticias bajo el titular: “Mujer es apuñalada por la mirada de su novio.”

El enojo de su enamorado fue tal que no le dirigió la palabra el resto de la noche. Después de ese altercado, la relación fue cuesta abajo. No obstante, mi amiga dice que esa noche aprendió dos reglas en el amor que toda mujer debe tomar en cuenta: La primera es que jamás debes hablar negativamente de un hombre delante de nadie, así sea un familiar o su mejor amigo. Y segundo, que no debes pedirle una y otra vez a tu pareja lo que no está listo para decir.
