CONCESIONARIOS DE AUTOMÓVILES APOYA A ESTUDIANTES DE OCCC

Donación apoya prácticas, becas y necesidades de programación

[OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA– Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC por sus siglas en inglés) y sus estudiantes recibieron una muestra de apoyo de la Asociación Metropolitana de Concesionarios de Automóviles este mes. La organización otorgó un cheque por $5,000, en el OKC Auto Show 2021 a principios de este mes, en apoyo del Programa de Pasantías de Tecnología Automotriz (ATIP), que capacita a los estudiantes para lograr su educación con la ayuda de asistencia de matrícula y oportunidades de pasantías, y que también apoya las necesidades programáticas de OCCC relacionadas con su programa automotriz.

"Estamos agradecidos de tener un apoyo increíble de nuestra comunidad", dijo el Presidente Interino de la OCCC, Dr. Jeremy Thomas. "Nuestro programa automotriz es excepcional, y sabemos que nuestros estudiantes pasan a ser grandes empleados, empresarios y socios de concesionarios y fabricantes en la industria automotriz."

Los estudiantes del ATIP reciben su educación formal en OCCC, pero trabajan en centros de servicio alrededor del estado de Oklahoma, donde obtienen experiencia adicional y certificaciones para los principales fabricantes de automóviles, incluyendo GM, Honda, Nissan y Subaru.

METROPOLITAN AUTO DEALERS ASSOCIATION SUPPORTS OCCC STUDENTS

[OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA,– Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) and its students received a show of support from the Metropolitan Auto Dealers Association this month. The organization awarded a check for $5,000, at the 2021 OKC Auto Show earlier this month, in support of the Automotive Technology Internship Program (ATIP), which empowers students to achieve their education with the help of tuition assistance and internship opportunities, and which also supports OCCC’s programmatic needs related to their Automotive program.

“We’re grateful to have such incredible support from our community,” said OCCC Interim President Dr. Jeremy Thomas. “Our Automotive program is exceptional, and we know our students go on to be great employees, entrepreneurs and partners to dealerships and manufacturers in the automotive industry.”

ATIP students receive their formal education at OCCC, but work in service centers around the State of Oklahoma, where they gain additional experience with and certifications for major automotive manufacturers including GM, Honda, Nissan and Subaru.

“Our students deserve the very best opportunities we can provide them,” said John Claybon, Dean of OCCC’s Business and Information Technology division, which houses OCCC’s Automotive program. “We couldn’t do that without great partnerships, and we’re humbled to receive this continued support from the Metropolitan Auto Dealers Association.
