Invitan a la comunidad a “Cookout with Cops” en Oklahoma City
Oklahoma City.- La comunidad está invitada a participar en “Cookout with Cops”, un evento gratuito organizado por Neighborhood Alliance of Central Oklahoma (NACOK), el Departamento de Policía de OKC y Calle Dos Cinco, una zona reconocida por su ambiente cultural y familiar en el sur de la ciudad.
El evento se realizará el 11 de abril, de 12 p.m. a 4 p.m., en Plaza Calle Dos Cinco, ubicada en SW 25th y S. Harvey Ave. Habrá comida y bebidas gratis de 12 p.m. a 2 p.m.
Las actividades incluyen una exhibición de autos personalizados, juegos para toda la familia, recursos comunitarios e información sobre seguridad en el vecindario.
“Cookout with Cops” es parte de una serie de eventos que buscan acercar a la comunidad y a los oficiales de policía en un ambiente relajado y accesible, para que las personas puedan conversar, convivir, conocerse y fortalecer la confianza.
“Eventos como ‘Cookout with Cops’ ayudan a unir a la gente,” dijo Myron Mayberry, director ejecutivo de NACOK. “Es una excelente oportunidad para que la comunidad conviva con los oficiales de su vecindario, fomente el diálogo y cree un espacio abierto y acogedor fuera de un entorno formal.”
