Se anuncian los finalistas de Maestro del Año 2022


OKLAHOMA CITY–La Superintendente Estatal de Instrucción Pública, Joy Hofmeister, anunció esta semana los 12 finalistas para el próximo Maestro del Año de Oklahoma.  

"Estos 12 educadores representan algunos de los mejores talentos de enseñanza en Oklahoma", dijo Hofmeister. "Estos finalistas son ejemplos excepcionales del tremendo impacto que una persona puede tener en la vida de los niños. Cada uno de estos profesores demuestra un compromiso extraordinario con el éxito de cada uno de sus alumnos y son altamente merecedores de este honor".

Todos los finalistas fueron nombrados maestros del año para sus distritos o escuelas y seleccionados después de que sus solicitudes fueron revisadas por un panel de educadores, legisladores y líderes cívicos.

El Maestro del Año de Oklahoma 2022 será nombrado en marzo. A partir del 1 de julio, el homenajeado asumirá los deberes de Maestro del Año a tiempo completo, que incluyen charlas y servir como embajador de Oklahoma para los maestros, alentando a otros a ingresar o permanecer en la profesión. La Maestra del Año de Oklahoma 2021, Jessica Eschbach, continuará recorriendo el estado hasta julio.

Hofmeister estuvo acompañado por los finalistas durante un anuncio el martes por la mañana en el Centro de Historia de Oklahoma en Oklahoma City.

 

 

Okahoma City.- State Superintendent of Public Instruction Joy Hofmeister this week announced the 12 finalists for Oklahoma’s next Teacher of the Year.  

“These 12 educators represent some of the best teaching talent in Oklahoma,” said Hofmeister. “These finalists are exceptional examples of the tremendous impact one person can make in the lives of kids. Each one of these teachers demonstrates an extraordinary commitment to the success of each of their students and are highly deserving of this honor.”  

All finalists were named teachers of the year for their districts or schools and selected after their applications were reviewed by a panel of educators, lawmakers and civic leaders.   

The 2022 Oklahoma Teacher of the Year will be named in March. Beginning July 1, the honoree will assume full-time Teacher of the Year duties, which include speaking engagements and serving as Oklahoma’s ambassador for teachers, encouraging others to enter or remain in the profession. The 2021 Oklahoma Teacher of the Year, Jessica Eschbach, will continue touring the state until July.  

Hofmeister was joined by the finalists during an announcement tuesday morning at the Oklahoma History Center in Oklahoma City.
