Grupo de apoyo a sobrevivientes de cáncer de la Iniciativa Hispana de Integris Health celebra 12avo aniversario
OKLAHOMA CITY .– Pacientes con cáncer, sobrevivientes, familia y amigos están invitados a celebrar el 12 aniversario del grupo de apoyo de cáncer de la Iniciativa Hispana de INTEGRIS Health el sábado, 13 de agosto.
La celebración del aniversario se celebrará de 10:00 a 2:00p.m. en el centro comunitario del Parque conocido como Medicine Park Community Center, localizado en 19001 Highway 49 in Medicine Park, OK 73557 . Únete a la celebración comunitaria en honor a las vidas de los miembros del grupo de apoyo y sus experiencias a lo largo de los años. INTEGRIS Health fué la primera organización de atención médica en Oklahoma City en ofrecer un grupo de apoyo de cáncer en español. Los participantes se reúnen mensualmente en el Instituto de cáncer INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center. Las sesiones de grupo de apoyo, dirigidas por pacientes de cáncer y atención de socios, están diseñadas para responder a las necesidades de información de pacientes con cáncer y a sus familias, así como proporcionar apoyo emocional.
Este grupo de apoyo es único en el sentido de que proporciona a los hispanohablantes la oportunidad de compartir sus pensamientos, preocupaciones y miedo con otros pacientes con cáncer y sobrevivientes. Las sesiones se ofrecen gratuitamente a cualquier persona en la comunidad afectados por el cáncer como un paciente o un miembro de la familia.
El evento de celebración de aniversario incluirá presentaciones en inglés y español.

INTEGRIS Hispanic Cancer Support Group Celebrates 12th Anniversary
Oklahoma City.-Cancer patients, survivors, family and friends are invited to celebrate the 12th anniversary of the INTEGRIS Hispanic Cancer Support Group on Saturday, Aug. 13.
The anniversary celebration will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Medicine Park Community Center, which is located at 19001 Highway 49 in Medicine Park, OK 73557. Join the community celebration in honor of the lives of the support group members and their experiences throughout the years.
INTEGRIS Health was the first health care organization in Oklahoma City to offer a cancer support group in Spanish. Participants meet on a monthly basis at the INTEGRIS Cancer Institute at INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center. The support group sessions, led by cancer patients and care-partners, are designed to respond to the informational needs of cancer patients and their families as well as provide emotional support.
This support group is unique in the sense that it provides Spanish speakers the opportunity to share their thoughts, concerns and fear with other cancer patients and survivors.
Sessions are offered free of charge to anyone in the community affected by cancer as a patient or family member. The anniversary celebration event will include both English and Spanish speakers.
